Ownership of land in Singapore will be restricted to only the Singaporeans

Singapore is facing land crunch in a worrying way and that is creating a feeling of being left out among the Singaporeans. The right that allows immigrants and also foreigners to buy property in the country is making the matters worse.

That calls for a strict route to be taken up by the government to tackle such issues. If left as they are, these land issues are going to have long term effects and can make the place and its economy unattractive for the local population itself.

Moreover, the defense services under the name of HDB, which are compulsory, will also feel the impact as the new generation will try to stay out of it.

The government must also remember that property market in Singapore is driven by sentiments and that is why when super rich foreigners are coming in they are pushing the market up. For the middle-income and lower income group this is not going to be good scenario.

CEOs like Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang also believe that the housing sector has become the greatest concern and if this trend continues then savings of Singapore nationals are expected to go down.
