Orix plans investment of 300 billion yen in china

A report suggests that the Japanese financial services company, Orix Corp is planning to invest around 300 billion yen ($3.2 billion) in firms in china over the next three years. It is setting up a unit in china for tapping into the country's growing economy by proving financial and infrastructure services.

The Orix (China) Investment Co to be set up in the Chinese city of Dalian will take a 15% stake in a tourism and real-estate firm, the Japanese firm said in a statement through email.

Massive IPO planned for Agr Bank of China

The Agricultural Bank of China Ltd is in plans to raise as much as 120 billion yuan ($22 billion) through an initial public offering. It plans a dual listing in Hong Kong and Shanghai in the month of April, according to a report by the state-run China Daily.

Agricultural Bank is China’s third largest lender by assets. The bank plans 50 billion shares on the two stock markets and price for a share on the Shanghai stock exchange could be around 3 yuan according to an unnamed source cited by the report.

General Motors, the American auto giant announced a 67 percent surge in sales in china last year. The announcement on Monday reported more than 1.8 million cars and trucks were sold in the country.

Palm has released the latest update to the Pre's webOS, but the new update is deprived of synchronisation with Apple’s iTunes.

Palm WebOS 1.2, which has a number of feature updates, takes around 15 minutes to download and install.

The new update will let its users to enter credit card information into the App Catalog to prepare the system for paid downloads.

Users can also now download Amazon MP3 songs over Sprint’s 3G network, while contacts synergy now includes contacts from LinkedIn.

More variants of cars including Lexus and Toyota will be supported by Bluetooth stack.
